WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Knowledge Expert (KE) in a Client Focused role within BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, contributing to client and knowledge work, based on deep domain expertise and institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data, and related expertise, etc.). As a Knowledge Expert you will support proposals and cases as a domain expert helping drive strong impact with clients. While contributing to client cases and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

Additionally, as a Knowledge Expert, you will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, providing insights & advice for proposals and client workshops. You will lead development of intellectual property & assets for the business and mentor and guide junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.
The Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking sector serves leading banking players across geographies, focusing on Business-to-Business banking segments ranging from Middle Market to Multinational Large Corporates. Products in scope include all traditional Corporate Banking products such as credit and lending structures, treasury management services, trade finance, FX, derivatives, as well as Investment Banking and Capital Markets products such as ECM, DCM, sales and trading, and prime brokerage.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

•   Leading problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context
•   Driving client development efforts, ranging from supporting proposals, ongoing client discussions, or workshops.
•   Engaging senior stakeholders and client team members - owning client conversations, demonstrating expert presence and credibility
•   Leading projects in a highly effective manner with ability to orchestrate team resources to meet goals
•   Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members and junior colleagues
•   Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

•   5+ years consulting experience in wholesale banking required; candidates with consulting experience preferred
•   In lieu of consulting experience, 7+ years minimum industry experience required; 10-12+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
•   Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
•   Excellent interpersonal communication and client handling skills
•   Deep expertise and experience in relevant wholesale banking
•   Fluency in English;
•   Self-starting and entrepreneurial spirit

As a Client Focus KT, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
