Job Summary
We are looking for an individual who is available to sub on an as needed basis for the fall term. This individual would also be available to teach their own class(es) on a weeknight or on the weekend during the winter and summer terms. Our tennis classes are typically held at the U-M Varsity Tennis Center and Chippewa Tennis Club year-round and at Ypsilanti Community High School in the summer. You would need transportation to get to any of these locations. You would be teaching 1-2 hours per week.
Responsibilities*
- Provides beginning and intermediate group lessons to adults.
- Monitors, demonstrates, and instructs students on proper techniques, tactics and strategies to improve their overall tennis game.
Desired Qualifications*
- Previous experience teaching tennis and/or competitive tennis experience.
Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
Remote Notification
The work requirements allow for the majority or all of the work to be completed offsite. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements, but is not generally scheduled on a recurring basis.
