Based on our internal equity review process, the starting salary for this position will be $19.88.
The current full hourly range for this position is $19.88 - $23.28.
Come work on Puget Sound and join the team at Point Defiance Marina! Located on the water at Owen Beach in the heart of Point Defiance Park, the marina operates a kayak rental facility called the Kayak Shack during the summer months. The Kayak Rental Lead will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and general supervision of the Kayak Shack and its staff. This role also serves as the main contact with the Marina, ensuring adequate supply levels are maintained and communicating any outstanding needs. Duties include maintaining the rental fleet and equipment in good working condition, proactively addressing issues, opening and closing the facility, assisting customers with the rental process, processing payments using a mobile system, and helping transport kayaks to and from the beach. Prior kayaking experience is preferred.
This seasonal position is expected to end on September 30.

Position Information
Provide a high level of customer service to patrons during a variety of events, programs, and rentals. Customer Service Assistants also responsible for providing assistance to Recreation participants and security for the facility.
In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to:
