Job Description:

• BNSF Railway is looking for a senior full-stack Java softwaredeveloper to join our team on a contract basis. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying web applications and services using the latest Java/SpringBoot/React technologies. You will work closely with business analysts, product owners, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders. You will alsofollow best practices and standards for coding, testing, security, and performance.
• Responsibilities
  • ·Develop and maintain on-premise web applications and services using Java/SpringBoot, React, NPM, Jenkins CI/CD, and SQL Server.
  • ·Implement front-end features using React.
  • ·Write clean, maintainable, and testable codeusing SOLID principles and design patterns.
  • Perform unit testing, participate in codereviews, and support integration testing with other teams.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues using tools such as IntelliJ (or other IDE of choice), Fiddler, Postman, and Jenkins DevOps.
  • Document and communicate technical specifications and requirements using tools such as Visio, Word, and Excel.
• Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in full-stack Java development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, SpringBoot, React, and SQL Server.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Familiar with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, SOAP.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and code quality tools.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, source control, and CI/CD tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
