JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to provide inventory management and control for the company’s service center, warehouse, depot, and plant locations. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory availability, providing inventory analysis, forecasting material usage, and auditing physical inventories at all locations. In conjunction with these primary functions, the role will coordinate with the company’s 3rd Party Integrator and other suppliers to optimize inventory and service levels by location. Additionally, this role develops and delivers user training as required.
This position may be filled as Analyst I (GSE03), Analyst II (GSE04) or Senior Analyst (GSE05). Individuals who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education, and certifications may be eligible for the more advanced position.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to be in the office three (3) days per week.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Travel up to 20% of the time requiring overnight and out of town stay.
- Maintains inventory on ERP Material Management System (e.g., adds/removes stock numbers, adds new items and descriptions).
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels to ensure material availability and minimize Company's investment.
- Set up, maintain, and monitor Depot Level Service material at all company and contractor locations.
- Coordinates monthly inventory cycle counts; enters group category numbers, informs Service Centers of the numbers to be counted.
- Monitors and/or processes all material returns and material distribution corrections and journal entries to ensure that materials and activities are accurately charged to the proper accounts. This includes and the handling of returned nonstock material.
- Schedules, monitors, and assists in performing all physical counts of materials at the company, including the daily cycle counts, physical pipe counts at the contractor yards, and the fuel and pipe inventories at the company yards. Reconciles the inventory variances and make the appropriate entries to ERP to correct identified errors.
- Consults with third party material integrator and contractors; works closely with Buyers and Service Centers to define service levels of third-party integrator.
- Assists field personnel with special requests, delivery schedules, and material availability for both stock and nonstock items. Assists customers with questions on ordering.
- Provides customers (e.g. Field operations personnel, Project Coordinators, and pipeline contractors) with pipeline infrastructure materials.
- Supports internal and external customers to achieve best practices and material standardization. Prepares data and assists with internal and external audits.
- Attend various business units’ departmental meetings and provide service/value to their needs.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills to evaluate and establish inventory parameters and daily inventory transactions.
- Working knowledge of inventory analytics and forecasting/modeling concepts.
- Advanced technical skills in the use of Maximo or PeopleSoft PSMMS or ERP Module/System and Excel.
- Intermediate skills in MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Access.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and suppliers

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Required
- High School Diploma
Preferred
- BA/BS Degree
- Professional procurement or supply chain certification (C.P.M., CPSM, CPPB, and/or CPPO).
Experience
Required:
3+ years’ experience in Materials Management and/or natural gas industry.
Preferred
- 5+ years ‘experience in Materials Management required
- Experience in Materials Management in energy industry preferred
