Position Summary

The HRIS Specialist provides administrative support to the Senior HR Manager, Senior HRIS Analyst, and HRIS Analyst. This role serves as the first level of support for end users, assisting with system configuration, reporting, logging tickets with system vendors, maintaining training documents, and participating in various HRIS projects and initiatives. The HRIS Specialist is also part of the US staff compensation team, assisting with market pricing, benchmarking, compensation projects, job descriptions, and compensation database configuration and testing.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver first-tier support by maintaining the team HRIS mailbox, responding to end-user questions, and escalating issues to HRIS team members, vendors, or IT when needed.
  • Input and configure new information within the Human Resource Information System, including locations, job titles, schools, languages, and other relevant settings.
  • Manage permissions, access, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • Log tickets with vendors for system issues or new functionality requests.
  • Primary point of contact for time tracking system (Workforce Software), handling end-user issues, new functionality, reporting requests, payroll audits, and general questions.
  • Provide support for the employee engagement platform, Awardco, by reviewing and approving requests, managing payroll and general reporting, and addressing user inquiries.
  • Creates and maintain system documentation and user training guides for the HR systems.
  • Organize and update HRIS project tracking spreadsheet.
  • Assist with planning and implementation of HRIS/Compensation Software projects.
  • Audit HR and payroll data for consistency and compliance.
  • Complete government required new hire and EEO-1 reporting.
  • Assist Senior HRIS and HRIS Analyst to generate reports as needed to support HR functions, including compensation, compliance, performance management, and workforce analytics.
  • Create the annual budget file and collaborate with finance to complete data audits for the budget process.
  • Collaborate with the compensation team to conduct benchmark analyses for new roles, promotions, and job changes.
  • Participate in compensation surveys.
  • Assist with auditing and maintaining job description database
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and taking meeting notes.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support on a variety of projects.
  • Participate as a technical team member in module testing, system fixes, updates and rollouts.
  • Assist with other projects as assigned

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field

Experience: 1+ years of experience in a professional work environment. HRIS and compensation experience is a plus.

Skills:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Workforce Software and Dayforce or similar HRIS software
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong initiative and ability to meet deadlines, resolve issues, and manage time effectively.

Equipment To Be Used: Personal computer and other office equipment such as telephone, calculator, fax, machine, copier, scanner, etc.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Sitting for extended periods, often in front of a computer.
  • Frequent use of keyboard and mouse is required, which may involve repatative wrist, hand, and finger movement.
  • Extended screen time requiring visual acuity.
  • High concentration needed to ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and analyze compensation metrics.
  • Interpret complex data, identify discrepancies and propose solutions, requiring critial thinking and analytical skills.
  • Manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously, with strong organizational and priortization skills.
  • Keen attention to detail is essential.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills when interacting with internal teams and end users.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and regulations.

Working Conditions: Works in a remote office setting. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule. May be required to come into the office upon request.

Pay Ranges: This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of Reed Smith's pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.

  • Pittsburgh / Miami / Richmond / Texas: $55k - $70k
