HOIST OPERATOR L-1

Where will you work: Onsite at Carlsbad, NM (76 Rawhide Rd., Loving, NM 88256)

This position is responsible for complete control of all hoisting activities.

What you’ll do?

• Perform minor maintenance and to be able to troubleshoot issues on hoists.
• Preventive maintenance practices as well as general mechanical practices.
• Must be willing to work overtime including callouts.

What you’ll need:

• Must safely hoist personnel, product, supplies and equipment and therefore must have exceptional safety awareness.
• Ideal candidate will have 2+ years (preferred) of strong background in hoist operation.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of bell signal procedures.
• Ability to accurately receive and send bell signals.
• Conduct regular inspections and timely report mechanical and/or electrical problems with the hoist.
• Perform minor mechanical work and service work on hoist.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Work productively and communicate effectively.
• Work well under pressure at critical moments.
• Willingness to work overtime including call-outs.
• Must be able to pass company Medical physical every 6 Months.
• Must be able to use the necessary equipment and tools to perform the job duties.
• The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent stooping, bending, walking. Must be able to use fall protection.
• Must wear all personal protective equipment and follow all safety rules and regulations in accomplishing the job functions.
• Candidate is also responsible for encouraging crew members’ compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
