This job contributes to REI’s success by providing first-class exceptional customer service to employees, visitors and vendors as the first point of contact for the organization. This position will uphold REI’s culture at all times while making employees and guests feel welcomed and valued. Along with customer focused concierge responsibilities, this role will provide efficient and effective operation of the HQ phone system. As needed, the Receptionist will support the Corporate Services department along with other HQ departments with clerical tasks. Models and acts in accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.
- Offer outstanding customer service skills in dealing with the public and REI staff, using tact and discretion at all times.
- Answer and route incoming calls during normal business operating hours. Phones to be answered physically onsite or remotely from other locations when covering for team members.
- Greet visitors in a professional, courteous, and appropriate manner.
- Be familiar with local community surrounding campus locations to guide employees and guests to nearby activities, directions, amenities, and services.
- Act as concierge for satellite offices and the first point of contact between the organization, employees and guests.
- Field questions and feedback from onsite personnel and support where needed. Resolve issues autonomously or escalate appropriately when needed while offering first-class customer service.
- Partner with Asset Protection and Health & Safety for site surveillance, badging inquiries, and health screenings as needed and approved by Manager, Campus Services.
- Complete assigned clerical tasks in support of the Corporate Services department or clerical projects as requested by HQ departments and approved by the Manager, Campus Services. Examples of tasks may include but not limited to processing purchase order requests, maintaining staff updates for campus services software such as SharePoint, iOffice, WeWork etc.
- Complete daily site check for site quality and readiness.
- Serve as a notary as an impartial witness to signing official documents for REI staff as requested.
- Support onsite events and activities as needed.
- Be onsite point of contact for facilities and vendor arrivals when needed.
- Train reception new hires and / or temp workers when needed.

- Experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
