MFC is a recognized designer, developer, and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries.

We are seeking an emerging, or experienced, Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer that will be responsible for developing and analyzing GNC algorithms using various simulations.

What You Will Be Doing

The GNC Engineer must have experience designing closed-loop control systems.

The GNC Engineer will develop and test 6-DOF simulation models and algorithms.

The GNC Engineer will contribute to the development and performance assessment of the Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS).

The GNC Engineer must have C/C++ and MATLAB programming experience.

This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX working a 4/10 Flex schedule.

**This position requires a current DoD Secret clearance, therefore, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

- Proficiency with C++, Matlab

- Experience with performing GNC and M&S assignments

- Experience with developing and analyzing algorithms, such as guidance algorithms, state estimation algorithms, etc.

- Experience with developing and verifying/validating complex models and simulations, such as missile 3-DOF or 6-DOF simulations

- Understanding of matrix math, linear algebra, statistics, coordinate transformations
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency with Linux, Python, Git, FORTRAN

- Experience with implementing, tuning, and testing Kalman Filters

- Experience with performing pre-flight system performance assessment and post-flight verification analysis

- Experience with working in Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) environments

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
