The Group Sales Optimization Manager is responsible as the primary point of evaluation for group lead activity ranging from 151+ peak and above. This team member will work in partnership with the Director of Group Sales and Director of Revenue Management as to the core principals of qualifying and moving leads forward to the sales team based on historical and future analytics, annualized revenue growth, increased RPI, rooms to space ratios, arrival/departure patterns, seasonality and set rate guidelines. They will serve as the first point of contact for incoming leads for qualification and work closely with departmental directors in reviewing core principals as it relates to moving leads forward. This person will need to be able to use past hotel data combined with future group demand allowing for annualized revenue growth and discuss with the clients day of week patterns and pre-qualification of alternate available dates. They will need to determine rooms to space ratio qualification and right-sizing available space to maximize group contribution. They will also be responsible for establishing proposal deadlines based on customers decision making process and due date(s) to ensure prompt follow up. Per these parameters, the position will move the lead forward to the assigned sales manager with specific room flow; assign specific meeting space; provide suggested minimum for food & beverage based on guidelines or turndown the lead. This position is responsible for monitoring group lead in-box and serve as the lead catcher for the hotel. This person will also work in close contact with assigned Sales Coordinator and other support staff. This person will also be the team back up for site inspections and market coverage when other sales managers our out of the office.
SALARY
Salary range for this position is $64,100 - $96,400. Actual pay will be commensurate with experience. Hotel is considering Hybrid only for this position. (Hybird is three days in the office a week unless business requires more)

Qualifications
- 5+ years of hotel sales experience (minimum)
- 3+ years of Convention hotel experience preferred
- Experience in Corporate, SMERF, and Association Markets
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills are required
- A minimum of 3 years of hotel sales or comparable experience is required
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, and programs
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
- Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
