Full Job Description

Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company seeks an experienced and motivated candidate to join the Flight Safety team supporting classified and unclassified. The candidate will attend pretest and post-test briefs, First Flight readiness Reviews, and Test Readiness Reviews and will conduct test safety reviews, test safety review boards, aviation safety council, and flying safety meetings. The individual will be responsible for coordinating the flight safety reviews of technical publications and flight test and is responsible for updates and maintenance of the flight safety incident database. This person will assist in reviewing flight safety and aircraft mishap investigation policy, processes, and plans.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or above in a technical discipline
* Flight Test/Test Safety experience
* Possess a strong technical background in aviation
* Pre-mishap/mishap response plans
* Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
* Graduate of a recognized Aviation Safety/Accident Investigator Course.
* Experience working with USAF/NAVAIR customers and various cross-functional teams.
* Working knowledge of FAA/NTSB 49 CFR Part 830/831
* Experience conducting Test Hazard Analysis efforts, testing and verification in compliance with MIL-STD-882 or equivalent; knowledge of DCMA 8210
* Experience performing data/root cause analysis and hazard assessments
* Ability to manage subcontractors in Flight Safety duties
* Ability to communicate and influence customer expectations
* Experience multi-tasking in a dynamic work environment
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organization and coordination skills with high attention to detail.
* Strong MS Office tools skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
* Understand and manage BASH programs and Aviation Safety Management Systems
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
