General Purpose

The Finance Specialist is responsible to analyze, report and provide guidance to the Leaders in Coca-Cola Southwest Beverage on their operational expense. This role is responsible for managing OPEX spend through analysis and auditing.

Duties and Responsibilities

OPEX Budget & Forecast Process:

Assist in the Budget and Forecast process
Participates in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
Provide Financial insight to OPEX results on a Monthly/Quarterly/Annual perspective
Providing support to the Finance Manager

OPEX Month End Close Process:

Provides month-end commentary related to OPEX finance results of Actuals vs PY, Budget and Forecast
Prepare month-end entries including accruals and reclasses related to HQ OPEX and other role responsibilities
Prepares HQ leadership financial reports for monthly financial review meetings
Participates in HQ leadership monthly financial review

OPEX Analysis:

Opex analysis reporting for key leadership
Analyze and consolidate spend data from various sources
Prepares monthly OPEX rollups for spend analysis

Support for Business Partners:

Quarterly & adhoc reporting using the Bottler Profitability Model
Provide ad-hoc financial support and reporting to key leadership
Support achievement of EBITDA targets, primarily through analysis of results
Follows the Charts of Authority
Ensures consistency of accounting treatment and proper application of GAAP and Company financial policies to financial transactions
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills along with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of Excel preferred
Financial Acumen
Reporting, General Ledger, Month/Quarter/Year End Close process
Experience in the budgeting/planning process desired
Must be flexible and able to work with multiple projects with excellent attention to detail and deadlines
Experience with variance analysis
Meticulous, initiative-taker with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
