As a Field Personnel & Competency Leader - Flexible Pipe Systems you will lead our Field Personnel & Competency team, focused on developing and maintaining the technical capabilities of our field teams in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety and operational excellence.
As a Field Personnel & Competency Leader - Flexible Pipe Systems you will be responsible for:
- Lead the Field Service team in the flawless execution of service delivery for our customers.
- Maintain & ensure process & procedure compliance within the Field Service team.
- Develop and oversee execution plans for field service projects, ensuring that resources, schedules, and logistics align with regional and global business objectives.
- Developing and implement competency frameworks and training programs to ensure field personnel meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct competency assessments and training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement.
- Design and deliver training programs, including classroom and field-based training, to enhance field personnel technical capabilities.
- Collaborate with operations teams to identify areas for improvement and develop initiatives to drive continuous learning and improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including training plans, competency matrices, and training records.
- Conduct performance metrics tracking and analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with the Competence Manager to develop and implement Competence Management Systems (CMS)
- Provide coaching and mentoring to field personnel on technical and soft skills.
- Stay current with industry developments, trends, and best practices.
- Ability to travel 30% to client and internal sites to train internal employees.
- Mainly domestic travel but international travel may be required.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Industrial Safety, Engineering, Technical Training)
- 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on field operations and technical training
- 3 years' experience managing field operator/technicians.
- 3 years' experience developing and implementing effective training programs and competency frameworks.
- 3 years' experience developing and oversee execution plans for field projects,
- Experience conducting new hire training or advanced skills training for internal employees.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of learning and development principles, including adult learning theory and instructional design
- Experience with Competence Management Systems (CMS) and technical training system.
