Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director of External Reporting & Technical Accounting, this position will interface with many corporate and operational financeteams,as well as our external auditors. Primary SEC reporting responsibilities include acombination of preparation and review of 10-Q and 10-K filings, as well as quarterly earnings releases. Primary technical accounting responsibilities include analyzing accounting issues andprovidingguidance to members of the finance organization, reviewing significant contracts, non-standard transactions and emerging GAAP for accounting implications,writing accounting position memos, supporting lease accounting activities, and overseeing the Company's corporate accounting policies.
Job Description:
Prepare and review financial filings (10-Q and 10-K)
Research and draft disclosures
Assist in preparing quarterly reports (8-K) and earnings releases
Provide accounting guidance for business transactions
Conduct research on complex accounting issues
Prepare accounting memos for auditors
Monitor and implement new accounting standards
Support lease accounting activities
Assist with accounting processes
Support compliance activities
Job Requirements:
- Experienced in reviewing and preparing 10-Qs and 10-Ks
- Proficient in researching and applying GAAP accounting rules
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Capable of making judgment calls on accounting/reporting issues
- Excellent writing skills for SEC reporting disclosures and accounting memos
- Effective prioritization in deadline-driven environments
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and process-oriented mindset
- Skilled in driving process improvements and automation
Education:
- 12years in Accounting / Finance roles (with minimum 4 years Big 4 experience preferred)
- Technical accounting and SEC reporting knowledge
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA
