TITLE: Executive Director, Commercial Real Estate
LOCATION: New York, NY
DUTIES: Originate, structure, and lead execution of complex transactions in Americas for CRE Americas. Prepare pitch documentation, financial analysis, credit applications, and financial models. Prepare and lead negotiation of real estate term sheets. Review, negotiate loan agreements, lead collaboration with third parties, and acquire solid understanding of key legal issues. Ongoing monitoring of performance of real estate portfolio and credit. Lead the origination and execution of more than twenty (20) real estate transactions in the Americas and more than twenty (20) transactions in Europe, Middle East and ASEAN. Responsible for originating and providing financial transaction expertise on deals. Bring coverage and product execution capabilities in order to focus on strategic deals, including corporate finance and capital markets. Work closely with relationship managers and product partners to strengthen client relationships and drive revenue and returns growth. Deliver new mandates to help achieve the Industry Coverage annual budgets and ensure mandates are properly and expediently executed to the highest standards. Lead engagements with clients, including deal economics, engagement letter, and term sheet negotiations. Conduct all aspects of market research activities to support the business and assist in pricing transactions to ensure that risk and return hurdles are met. Ensure adherence to the relevant bank polices and support the business in related financial transaction activities, preparation of proposals, and in the origination of new business in franchise markets. Work closely with product partners in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Financial Markets, and Transaction Banking to integrate and cross-sell products. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Standard Chartered Bank policy.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Employer will accept one (1) year of additional experience for an unrelated degree. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Originating, leading, structuring, executing, and distributing structured trade finance and real estate finance transactions; Preparing pitch documentation, financial analysis, credit applications, and financial models; Preparing and leading negotiations of real estate term sheets; Leading the origination and execution of real estate transactions in the Middle East; Writing underwriting standards and managing credit, operational risk, and compliance factors; Developing new structures to meet client needs by assessing market trends and structuring solutions; Managing and analyzing large excel files, including financial models.
SALARY: $295,009 - $320,000/year
HOURS: Full time; Mon - Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.
