Full Job Description

Summary

Leads moderately complex projects that require skill in a diverse array of programming expertise. Responsible for application analysis, design, development, integration, enhancement and support of complex issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • "Performs installation, functional and performance testing, maintenance, and modification of commercial off the shelf (COTS) ETL software.
  • Demonstrates project management skills and may serve as a technical lead on IT projects.
  • Participates in planning sessions with customers to improve business processes and prioritize investments in process, people, services, and infrastructure. Works closely with Technical Review Board and Enterprise Architects to assure all systems align with the long-term IT strategy.
  • Identifies system requirements, develops application specifications, conversion and migration designs.
  • Establishes liaison relationship with business partner and/or suppliers in order to provide technical solutions through the analysis of business workflows and an understanding of business needs.
  • Manages multiple priorities of projects and requests.
  • Adheres to quality standards and procedures. Reviews modules for quality assurance and validates compliance with application architecture standards. Conducts unit testing of application modules to ensure compliance to specifications.
  • Documents changes to system and application architecture diagrams, integration and conversion plans. Assists in development of reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Provides Tier III support for ETL applications, including a weekly on-call rotation.
  • Provides technical guidance, business process expertise and technical leadership to team members.

You Must Have

  • Two or more years of direct work experience
  • Bachelors degree, certification or two additional years of direct work exp in lieu of Bachelors degree or certification
  • US Citizenship, capable of obtaining and maintaining a US Dept of Energy "Q" level security clearance.

We Value

  • Minimum 2 years of SQL experience with the ability to develop, modify, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing extract, transform, load (ETL) solutions.
  • Any experience developing with data integration tools (for example Talend, Informatica, SSIS, Qlik Data Integration.)
  • Any experience with multi-dimensional data modeling for a data warehouse and data marts.
  • Any experience or knowledge of a scripting language (Linux, Shell, Windows Batch, Python or VBS).
  • Any experience working in a Red Hat Enterprise, Linux and/or Windows environment.
