Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking an Engineering Technician 2/Engineering Technician 3to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Promontory, UT.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems including repair and setup of video, audio, process controllers, test equipment, and data acquisition systems.
• Review drawings, specifications and follow planning in support of various development projects.
• Read and understand electrical schematics as well as use a variety of electronic troubleshooting equipment.
• Work closely with systems engineers to fabricate and checkout test systems.
• Good interpersonal skills with other technicians and engineers.
• Willing to work overtime on occasion to meet testing requirements.
• Demonstrate a strong attitude towards safety.
Basic Qualifications:
This position can be filled at either a level 2 or level 3.
Basic Qualifications for a level 2:
• High school diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant experience OR associate's degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 0 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data.
• Able to read engineering documentation and reports including drawings and schematics.
• Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents.
• Ability to read, clearly interpret and accurately follow standard work and other written instructions.
• Capable of the use of calibrated measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and electrical meters.
• Proficient with manual and power tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
• High school diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant experience OR associate's degree/certificate in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience gathering, maintaining and compiling technical data.
• Able to read engineering documentation and reports including drawings and schematics.
• Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents.
• Ability to read, clearly interpret and accurately follow standard work and other written instructions.
• Capable of the use of calibrated measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, and electrical meters.
• Proficient with manual and power tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong electronics background and a fundamental knowledge of test systems including data systems, control systems, and other electronic equipment.
• Computer networking experience (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
• Experience with Windows operation systems administration and deployment.
• PC hardware knowledge, A+ certification preferred.
• Experience in thru-hole and surface mount soldering as well as data cable fabrication.
• Experience in set-up, fabrication, and troubleshooting of computer-controlled equipment.
Additional Requirements:
• Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check for the Federal Safe Explosives Act (SEA)
• Must be a U.S. citizen

This position's standard work schedule is a 4/10.
Salary Range: $47,000 - $78,300
Salary Range 2: $55,800 - $93,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
