Essential Duties
- Develop and deliver ad-hoc email, and more complex automated email campaigns.
- Participate in kickoff meetings to ensure understanding of campaign and communication goals, provide guidance around email best practices, and provide insight into previous results.
- Collaborate with the project team (project manager, data analyst, and creative) to determine list characteristics, choose templates, suggest flow, and provide insight into industry best practices.
- Build, edit, test, schedule and launch email campaigns and programs using the University’s email service providers (ESPs).
- Assist with quality assurance testing to validate performance for email campaigns and programs.
- Execute testing strategies for email campaigns and programs.
- Support reporting, monitoring, and interpretation of performance related metrics.
- Help troubleshoot campaign issues.
- Assist with external vendor and service provider relationships as necessary.
- Stay current on industry standards and best practices to assure campaign value and enhance client experiences.
- Understand and communicate business trends and program performance to the marketing team.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to ideate, implement, and enhance life-cycle email campaigns for University audiences.
- Execute special project efforts to enhance team efficiency and quality.
- Ensure email communications meet the expectations of industry best practices, University brand identity and regulatory standards.

- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and ESPs such as Eloqua, Pardot, and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Understanding of current email standards and best practices.
- Knowledge of commercial internet service providers (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail) and email clients (Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail).
- Knowledge of email construction, including HTML and experience working in an HTML editor (MJML experience a plus)
- Familiarity with SQL and AmpScript is a plus.
- Ability to learn new technologies and software quickly.
- Strong data evaluation skills, with the ability to extract and interpret data from various sources.
- Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents, presentations, and dialogues.
- Commitment to quality and delivering outstanding client experiences and value.
Work Experience
- 3-6 years of email marketing experience
- Knowledge working directly with email/interactive marketing.
- Familiarity with working on a geographically distributed/hybrid team.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required

- Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro. - Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
