Duke Health, Duke Cancer Institute, and the Department of Medicine's Division of Medical Oncology are recruiting Clinician/Educators and Clinical Associates in both academic and community settings in several different solid tumor programs.
Positions available at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC:
- Clinician/Educator (80-90% clinical; 10-20% academic)
- Board Certification in Oncology required
- Faculty appointment = Regular rank appointment (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) commensurate with academic achievement and experience
- Disease focus = singular disease focus in either Breast, Gastrointestinal (GI), Genitourinary (GU), Melanoma or Thoracic Oncology
- Clinical responsibilities include:
- Outpatient Clinic and Coverage of Infusion Services at Duke Cancer Center
- Inpatient Rounding on Solid Tumor Service
- Academic responsibilities include:
- Clinical Research
- Education = teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Positions available at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC:
- Clinician/Educator (90-100% clinical; 0-10% academic)
- Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology required
- Faculty appointment = Regular rank appointment (Assistant Professor) or Non-regular rank appointment (Clinical Associate)
- Disease focus = Disease concentration in Genitourinary (GU) Malignancies, but with ability to consult on all solid tumors and hematology (benign and malignant)
- Clinical responsibilities include:
- Outpatient Clinic and Coverage of Infusion Services at Duke Raleigh Cancer Center or Duke Cary Cancer Center
- Inpatient Consultation on Hematology/Oncology Service (staffed by Hospitalists)
- Academic responsibilities include:
- Clinical Research
- Education = teaching of fellows in the outpatient setting
Positions available at Duke Regional Hospital in north Durham, NC:
- Clinician/Educator (90%-100% clinical; 0-10% academic)
- Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology required
- Faculty appointment = Regular rank appointment (Assistant Professor) or Non-regular rank appointment (Clinical Associate)
- Disease focus = Concentration in all solid tumors (Breast, GI, GU, Thoracic); Disease concentration in Breast or Genitourinary (GU) Malignancies, but with ability to consult on all solid tumors and hematology (benign and malignant)
- Clinical responsibilities include:
- Outpatient Clinic and Coverage of Infusion Services at Duke Regional Cancer Center or new offsite clinic location
- Inpatient Consultation on Hematology/Oncology Service (staffed by Hospitalists) if working at Duke Regional Hospital
- Academic responsibilities include:
- Clinical Research
- Education = teaching of fellows in the outpatient setting
