Job Description
The Director of HR Shared Services is responsible for the strategy, planning, and implementation of a best-in-class Global HR service delivery model leveraging high-impact HR shared services, including the HR Service Center, data entry functions, and a focus on employee support experience across all Medline entities. The Director creates the strategy, goals, and execution plan that enables business continuity, upholds standards, and creates efficiencies for HR processes while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and other applicable regulatory agencies. The position's major responsibility is directing the day-to-day operations of level 1 and level 2 support for the Employees, Managers, and members of the HR function. The Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders and colleagues across Medline to build and foster trust-based collaborative relationships to promote the alignment, communication, coordination, and successful implementation of HR Shared Services.
- Creating and championing a culture of engagement where team members can do their best work and customers experience empathetic, professional, and knowledgeable support.
- Designing and delivering HR services ensuring end-to-end connection across HR
- Development of HR services blueprint and governance framework including intake and escalation model, service catalog, KPIs
- Creating HR knowledge/content and SOP for employee-facing services.
- Being customer-obsessed in designing and delivering HR services for employees.
- Evaluating, developing, implementing, and modifying service delivery processes with governance across all internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the end-user to create an exceptional employee experience through application support, training, and standard work documentation.
- Building and enabling strategies to ensure continuous improvement, consolidation, and standardization for HR processes within the HRSS function.
- Developing strong relationships with HR Information Systems, vendors, consultants, business partners, and internal leadership to ensure best practices and to provide mutual support and partnership.
- Creating a culture of continuous improvement mindset resulting in improved processes and outcomes for the customer; and partner with stakeholders to develop a value stream approach.
Work Experience
Seven (7) + years of progressive HR leadership experience supporting the HR function with the ability to organize, strategize, and implement support for employees in a shared services function. Experience driving major change/transformation initiatives in a highly-matrixed organization.
