Our global entertainment client is seeking a Designer (apparel) with knowledge of both vertical and licensed product design. While this role is currently budgeted as 2-month assignment, it is expected to by extended by at least 6-months. Candidates must be able to work onsite in LA Tues - Thurs (can work from home remaining days).
Position Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, particularly in the apparel industry, and will be responsible for creating innovative and marketable designs that align with our brand vision. This role requires a strong understanding of licensing and an ability to work within a studio environment to bring concepts to life.
TOP THREE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Approving design submissions for licensed apparel
- Creating graphics against licensed apparel
- Creating trend and inspiration boards
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative design concepts for apparel that resonate with our target audience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and production to ensure designs meet business objectives.
- Create technical sketches and specifications for apparel products.
- Manage the licensing process for designs, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and legal requirements.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and consumer preferences in the apparel sector.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.
- Oversee the production process to ensure designs are executed to the highest quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in apparel design, preferably in a studio setting.
- Strong knowledge of licensing processes and requirements.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
