Delivery Managers serve as the Chief Scrum Master across all delivery teams within a product. They are responsible for the overall solution delivery and support of large-scale programs with complex integrations. Delivery Managers are responsible for managing the communication across program stakeholders, defining mitigation strategies to remediate risks and issues, and assisting teams to ensure that the value being delivered aligns to the product vision defined by product managers.
The Costco Cloud team is responsible for providing multi cloud infrastructure and the associated platforms, tools, and services required to onboard applications into the cloud globally. The Foundational Engineering team architects, designs, and manages the implementation and configuration of Costco’s cloud platforms. The Cloud Express team is responsible for development of a zero-touch automated platform that deploys cloud infrastructure for value streams. The Cloud Onboarding team reviews value streams proposals and assigns priority to onboard applications to the cloud and provides feedback and recommendations for architecture, platforms, and resources. The Cloud Automation Tools team is responsible for the tools leveraged to store and deploy infrastructure as code to build resources within Costco’s hybrid, multi-cloud platforms. It is essential that the solutions factor in a multi cloud environment and that requirements are gathered to clearly understand fit for purpose when designing or assisting with the solution. All of these functions leverage IaC best practices for implementation and configuration to maintain strong security posture, provide traceability, and ensure consistency.
The Delivery Manager leads technical initiatives by providing direction, executing work-streams, and follow-up to ensure initiatives are delivered to schedule and meeting documented requirements. They are responsible for the overall delivery of their assigned initiatives and require domain expertise to support large-scale programs with complex integrations.

ROLE
● Helps with the allocation of resources and provides teams with the necessary support to remediate impediments and reported issues.
● Facilitates program increment (PI) sessions across all delivery pods aligned to a product, or value stream, and the accompanying planning sessions (pre and post PI planning sessions).
● Works with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to plan release schedules across products.
● Supports product teams with the delivery of new features and capabilities while empowering them and allowing them to be self-organized.
● Supports the Product Manager with the facilitation of system demos to demonstrate the integration of products to program stakeholders.
● Leads program increment retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities that can be implemented to improve productivity.
● Monitors delivery team metrics to evaluate progress against delivery milestones (e.g., release burnups).
● Aggregates individual delivery pod status into portfolio-level risks, assumptions, and interdependencies.
● Creates weekly reports highlighting the health of the overall delivery status to program leadership and various stakeholders.
● Fosters collaboration between the delivery pods and stakeholders at the product level.
● Leads regular “Scrum-of-Scrum” meetings with Scrum Masters from all product teams to drive alignment across. development activities and review blockers or impediments impacting team productivity.
● Coordinates the resolution of internal and external dependencies across value streams and shared services.
● Drives tactical day-to-day delivery process, including removing impediments that negatively impact productivity or block the team’s process.
● Ensures effective communication, collaboration, coordination, and team engagement in initiatives that cut across portfolios and products.
● Defines, plans, and executes to plan. Provides a laser focus approach to managing scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
● Manages large-scale, technical projects, often with multiple internal and external partners/stakeholders.
● Manages two or more projects simultaneously.
● Collaborates with Architects, Information Security Analysts, Engineers, Vendors, and business leaders across business facing portfolios.
● Uses data and insights effectively from multiple sources that benefits the business and the members.
● Pursues incremental delivery constantly by looking for ways to meet business goals and learn from members and end users through frequent, measurable enhancements.
● Ensures completed stories meet acceptance criteria by reviewing test plans, the output of automated testing, or where necessary, contributing to manual testing efforts. Prioritizes and collaborates in resolution of issues and defects.
● Works with stakeholders to manage scope, create a roadmap, program timeline, project plans, and delivery milestones.
● Works with Product Managers and Product Owners to document impacted business processes.
● Provides appropriate staffing recommendations based on scope, work effort assessment, and necessary skills.
● Develops project budgets, manages changes, and tracks actual costs and variance to approved budget.
● Ensures adherence to IT Governance, Finance and Vendor Management processes.
● Ensures all project artifacts and deliverables are documented, approved, and stored for re-usability, support, and audit purposes in designated project tools.
● Ensures key decisions and deliverables are documented, approved, and stored for reference
● Recognizes, gathers, and tracks risks and takes corrective measures proactively.
● Aggregates individual product team status into portfolio-level risks, assumptions, and interdependencies.

● Mentors team members in project management artifacts, processes, tools, and techniques.
REQUIRED
● 10+ years’ experience managing complex global scale technical projects with strong technical background on public cloud.
● Experience in managing cloud and container program rollouts with demonstrated partnership with Compliance, Identity, Security, and other vertical teams.
● Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
● Demonstrated skills on productivity gain and cost optimization.
● Proven track record for successful delivery of projects and working cross-functionally with business and IS.
● Proven risk mitigation expertise.
● Ability to lead the resolution of high impact Issues and Risks.
● Proven ability to develop business relationships and communicate successfully with people at all levels of management; and exhibit excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
● Proficient with managing program level budgeting and providing financial tracking.

Level 3 - $125,000 - $155,000
Level 4 - $145,000 - $200,000
