The Opportunity

Hyatt seeks a motivated and prolific Data Product Manager – AI who is passionate about data and AI to help us build out the next generation of ML and data-driven products. The Product Manager is responsible for defining product vision(s) and guiding the creation of world-class products, democratizing access, accelerating algorithmically powered processes, and fostering data-driven decision-making across the company. The Role

In this role, you'll define and guide the development of business-critical, scalable, and robust data and AI solutions and intuitive and trustworthy data and AI products that optimize decisions, predict the future, test, and measure the impact of business decisions, drive superior guest experiences, enhance efficiency, and increase innovation. This position will guide data and AI product research, facilitate product strategies, design solutions, and guide Hyatt's agile development and product roll-out processes.

You will be part of a global data and AI community and will work in cross-functional and agile project teams alongside Data Engineers, Data Stewards, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, other Application Product Managers, and executives to improve the experience of guests and colleagues worldwide.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining and guiding the development of business-critical, scalable, and robust data and AI solutions, including intuitive and trustworthy data and AI products that power personalization, forecasting, and decision sciences for Hyatt's organization and across the company.

•Drive the vision, roadmap, and direction for Hyatt’s data and AI Products.

•Lead the planning, scoping, and prioritization of projects to achieve all our goals.

•Gather requirements, determine features and their priority, write product specs, refine feedback, help write test plans, manage the backlog, and ship products quickly.

•Ensure data quality, definition, monitoring, alerts, and recourse are built into roadmap plans and engineering requirements of each data and AI initiative/product.

•Ensure new product or algorithmic requirements are following Hyatt policies and/or corresponding contracts before being passed to developers.

•Define and ensure products meet business SLAs.

•Gain an intimate understanding of the current methods of building and delivering data and AI pipelines into Hyatt’s data and AI Platforms and define how this should work in the future.

•Represent the team with partners and senior company leaders to align resources and prioritization.

•Promote enterprise-wide adoption of the data and AI Products.

•Educate teams on data and AI Products and use cases.

•Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Strong background and knowledge in production ready data and AI product lifecycle development on the cloud will be important to this role.

•The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to Hyatt core values: respect, integrity, humility, empathy, creativity, and fun.

•A bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical discipline, or equivalent work experience

•Prefer master’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or related field.

•3+ years of hands-on experience in guiding the strategy of data and AI products and its underlying data to ensure it collectively achieves business objectives, leveraging or managing data and AI products to drive business value with a proven track record of success.

•2+ years of hands-on SQL development skills and experience. Python experience preferred.

•Proven ability to navigate difficult situations with competing stakeholder needs across multiple audiences (individual contributors, managers, executives).

•Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.

•Knowledge of modern data and AI Infrastructure and related processes, including basic cloud knowledge such as AWS, GCP, or similar platforms.

•Working knowledge of agile methodologies and SCRUM.

•Strong knowledge working with AI/ML data and terminology, particularly in personalization and decision sciences, will be important to this role.

•Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation as an essential part of product development.
