The role:
Are you a positive and upbeat go-getter who can adapt to change? Has your background provided you with experience in organizing and prioritizing work? If so, consider joining our Commerce and Compliance Division (CCD) as a business analyst. In this role, you will play a key role in many division-wide initiatives and strategies by collaborating with a skilled operations staff. You will provide policy guidance, support the division management team in operational initiatives planning and proposals, manage small projects and serve as facilitator for strategic engagement forums and meetings. In addition, you will review and monitor Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statues that pertain to the work within CCD and revise or implement division policies if needed. A day in the life:
Facilitate meetings with internal and external committees and workgroups.
Review, monitor and analyze Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statutes as they pertain to the division.
Develop, write and implement division policies and procedures in alignment with applicable statutes.
Serve as project manager for small-scale divisional initiatives.
Assist leadership with business program priorities.
Conduct research and set business performance goals for the division.
Determine training needs and coordinate, document and develop training plans in partnership with the training program coordinator.
Work is performed in a typical office environment and may include irregular hours based on business needs.
Hybrid work options available approximately 80% of the time.

Through an equal pay assessment, we will determine the salary offer using the information you provide in your submitted application materials. The salary range listed is the non-PERS monthly salary range. If you are already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible, the salary range will increase by 6.95%.

Minimum qualifications:
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience in change management, project management, strategic planning or policy analysis.
OR
A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social sciences, finance, political science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional evaluative, analytical and planning work related to change management, project management, strategic planning or policy analysis.

Note: This position will receive a cost of living adjustment (COLA) increase of 6.55% which is not reflected in the salary listed in this posting. The effective date of the increase is Jan. 1, 2025, for Feb. 1, 2025, paychecks.
