This is a Part-Time position with a salary of $18 per hour for around 18 to 20 hours per week.GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provide administrative support to help the department provide a wide variety of services and activities related to career planning, job search advising and employer programs for students and alumni/ae.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Associate Director of Operations and Data Management
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Not Applicable
This is an in-person, hourly position, and the individual is not eligible for overtime pay, hybrid work, or remote work.

TemporaryEssential Duties
CORE DUTIES:1. Serve as the first point of contact and provide front office support for the Career Services & Internships (CSI) Office.
2. Assist students and alumni with scheduling appointments, questions, and referrals to resources in person and via phone while providing excellent customer service.
3. Ensure that all appointments are set to the right status (completed, no-show, etc.) to ensure proper data collection.
4. Assist employers with utilizing the Handshake system and referring calls to appropriate staff members.
5. Help manage Handshake career management system with approving employers, positions, and events. Assist with posting departmental and external events to the system for students and alumni. Troubleshoot questions from students, alumni, employers, faculty, and staff.
6. Conduct follow-up emails or phone calls with no-show students to ensure future appointment attendance and to help track missed appointments in alignment with our appointment policies.
7. Manage incoming requests for converting Handshake user accounts to alumni status and updating contact information.
8. Assist with data collection and review projects.
9. Assist with posting events and content to office uConnect platform.
10. Support all areas of the office to assist with the operational needs of the department. Assist with various projects such as nametags, student follow-up, event material proofing, programmatic day of event support as needed, etc.
11. Take part in relevant trainings in person and virtually to stay up to date on software systems and necessary office tasks.
12. Support CSI's overall DEI efforts and social justice practices to promote student success as it relates to your core duties.
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Ability to work effectively as a team with professional, clerical, administrative and student staff.
4. Experience with computer technology including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
5. Strong organization and planning skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working in a college/university career center.2. Experience with career management software such as Handshake.
