40Summary:
The Biomed Technician II is required to perform scheduled procedures, installation, inspection and calibration on all equipment that falls under the responsibility of the Clinical Engineering department. Perform corrective maintenance on all equipment that falls under the responsibility of the Clinical Engineering Department. Responsible for documenting the results of all inspections and repairs. Maintains compliance with JCAHO, Federal, State and local standards and regulations. Supports the mission, values and strategic aims of Cook Children's Health Care System. This associate is often required to act independently under stressful conditions.
Education & Experience:
Associates degree (AA) in Electronics Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or military training equivalent.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
Competency in the theory of operation, repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
Hours:
First Shift Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
