About the Role: As an Athletic Scheduling Specialist (Customer Service Specialist II), you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating schedules for our diverse range of programs, activities, and athletic facilities. Your work will directly support community groups and partners, helping them succeed while ensuring they adhere to permitted conditions. This position demands high-level problem-solving skills, creativity, and the ability to develop innovative solutions to enhance access to our facilities, particularly for underrepresented and underserved groups.
This position performs work remotely and onsite.
About the Team: King County Parks' mission is to steward, enhance and acquire parks to inspire healthy communities, and with 205 parks, 28,000 acres of open space, 250 miles of backcountry trail, and 175 miles of regional trails, King County Parks offers close-to-home recreational experiences for everyone. The Property Management & Business Revenue Section is a crucial part of Parks and is responsible for all revenue generated, which includes over $1.5 million in athletic field and open space scheduling.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Work collaboratively, inclusively, and strategically with internal work groups and the community to permit effective and sustainable events and activities in a scheduling software system.
- Provide outreach support to engage and collect feedback from the community, with an emphasis on underserved communities that may not otherwise use our services.
- Develop, maintain, and generate reports for performance measurements.
- Provide a proactive and creative approach to researching and experimenting new ideas and processes.
- Develop, track, and manage budgets and customer accounts.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Qualifications You Bring:
- Demonstrated, progressive experience in scheduling recreational activities, programs and athletic facilities.
- Demonstrated, progressive experience working with scheduling software.
- Knowledge of youth and/or adult athletics.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and thrive in a high-volume work environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Manages Complexity: Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

Supplemental Information
Working Conditions:- Remote and Onsite Work Details: Employees in this role work remotely from home, with onsite reporting requirements typically once or twice a quarter. The frequency of onsite work is determined by business needs and may be adjusted accordingly. Onsite reporting locations may be at various King County worksites including the collaboration space at King Street Center (201 S. Jackson St, Seattle, WA 98104). This work arrangement promotes work-life-balance and reduces carbon footprint under the department's vision of Green Where We Work.
- Remote Work Location Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.
- Work Schedule: This full-time position works a Monday through Friday 40-hour work week. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
- Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.
