The mission of the Department of Accounting and Finance at Bridgewater State University is to prepare students for professional careers and/or graduate studies through high quality education. Essential Duties
The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach upper and lower level courses in Finance with the possibility of teaching select Account courses and graduate courses. The successful candidate will also participate in student advising, department committees, and in the continued development of the graduate and undergraduate curriculum.Required Qualifications
- A doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution in Finance or a related field is required by August 31, 2025. If the applicant's PhD is in a field other than Finance, an MSF or similar is also required.
- Familiarity with finance technology applications is required.
- Experience with college-level advising is required.
- Applicants must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, social justice and community engagement, as demonstrated by current research, practice or teaching.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching is required.
- Evidence of the effective use of technology for teaching and learning is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A professional designation in Finance or a related field, such as the CFA, FRM, and/or CPCU, is preferred.
- Related professional work experience is preferred.
