The Assistant General Manager | Mar Muntanya responsibilities may include:
- Support and assist in managing Mar Muntanya, an Award Winning Spanish upscale restaurant, within our hotel, while working closely with the Food & Beverage Managers and other departments within our hotel
- Planning and coordination of special events within the restaurant
- May be responsible for ordering and maintaining par levels
- Scheduling, forecasting and payroll processing for all colleagues within the department
- Hiring, training, coaching and mentoring of service colleagues
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as operational standards
- Responsible for maintaining a high energy, positive, professional appearance
Qualifications
- Full Time Management position that requires full flexibility; ability to work weekends and holidays with a varied schedule
- Minimum of 2+ years in Upscale Dining Restaurant Management preferred
- A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Candidates should be detail oriented and organized
- Understanding of Utah’s liquor laws
- Candidates should possess food and beverage knowledge. Beverage knowledge should include wine, spirits and beer in an upscale environment
