Full Job Description
pAnchorage Sleep Center is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. We are a full-service sleep disorders center dedicated to serving the community with unparalleled patient care. Our staff is devoted to providing knowledge, caring, and understanding to all of our patients./p pstrongResponsibilities include but are not limited to:/strong/p ul liPerforms diagnostic testing for sleep disorders including baseline diagnostic polysomnograms (PSG), positive airway pressure (PAP) titrations, multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT), titrations of oral devices for OSA, and supplemental oxygen titrations./li liAssures cleanliness and safety of patient care, technical, supply, and storage rooms in the sleep center./li liMaintains proper cleanliness, care for, and functioning of sleep study equipment and supplies./li liReviews clinical documentation and performs appropriate sleep disorders testing according to facility policy amp; procedures as well as American Academy of Sleep Medicine, state and federal government, and accrediting body standards amp; regulations./li liAccurately completes all workflows, charting, scoring and documentation in the patient medical records and sleep study system for each patient encounter./li liAssists with scheduling of patient visits amp; procedures, reminder calls, filling vacancies from cancellation list, and proper tracking of patient reschedules, cancellations, and no shows./li liPromptly reports any facility cleanliness, maintenance problem, safety hazard, equipment malfunction, supply issue, patient complaints, patient or staff injury, security concern, infection control issue, etc. to management and the appropriate supporting department./li liCompletes all required continuing education in compliance with internal policies, credentialing and accrediting bodies./li liPerforms other tasks deemed necessary by manager to facilitate customer service or business operations including shift, work schedule, department, or location change./li liMaintains positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and others./li /ul pstrongSchedule: /strongnight shift, full- or part-time schedule and various week day can be discussed/p pstrongTravel requirements:/strong regular travel to other locations in Alaska./p pstrongCompensation:/strong DOE, relocation assistance may be considered./p pstrongRequired Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:/strong/p ul liVocational/ Technical Degree required with specialty/major in Sleep, Respiratory Therapy, EEG or other clinical healthcare field./li liCurrent RPSGT, RST, RRT / CRT with SDS or CPSGT; and BLS Certification/li liMinimum 2 years in direct patient care in a and accredited sleep center or hospital respiratory department/li liAbility to interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions./li liAbility to operate a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computer and a variety of software programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, use of email, Internet./li /ul
