Role and Responsibilities
SEMCOG (EOE) is seeking highly organized and efficient Administrative Assistants to support its operations by performing a variety of clerical and administrative functions. While SEMCOG offers a hybrid work environment (blend of virtual and in-person work), candidates should have flexibility to work in the office as needed in the performance of duties.
Performs clerical and administrative tasks including meeting preparation and support; drafting correspondence and various documents in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; assisting with the completion and processing of expense reports, credit card usage forms, certification tracking, and travel arrangements; updating/maintaining spreadsheets, databases, and basic website information; disseminating information via mail and Informz; supporting the office and IT operations including organization of the office, copy/supply room, kitchen, and IT supplies; and responds to support requests for administrative assistance, including ordering supplies for staff and meals for meetings.
The ideal candidates possess strong organization, multi-tasking, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency and working knowledge in the use of office technology such as Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience and Qualifications
- Associate degree in related field preferred.
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in local government or related administrative field.
- Knowledge of office administration, recordkeeping, and clerical procedures.
- Organization and time management skills, attention to detail, proofreading, self-motivation, capable of working on multiple tasks and meeting timelines, and ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with internal and external individuals.
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Total Compensation Estimate = $94,612 (assumes midpoint of salary range and family enrollment in medical, dental, and vision insurances)
