Administrative Assistant

Riverside's Connect2Recovery program is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Norwood based team. 

The Administrative Assistant is critical to the efficient functioning of the program as well as a primary point of contact with our consumers, facilitating communication and responding to consumer needs. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing the flow of information, communication, and data between the staff and consumers of the program, Riverside’s administrative office and other programs, and other providers. The Administrative Assistant will also maintain and organize necessary databases and files, and perform general receptionist and clerical duties to enhance the efficient operation of the program.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Handle all referrals and inquiries regarding program services including checking insurances, assigning clients and managing associated databases.
  • Assist with and/or complete weekly insurance eligibility checks on clients.
  • Answer telephones, screen, and direct calls to the appropriate individuals.
  • Create and maintain electronic files, following division and program standards.
  • Enter billing information into computer billing system
  • Complete all required administrative documentation in a timely fashion and maintain consumer record files in accordance with quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clinical records and privileged information in conformity with state and federal law and regulations.
  • Respect and protect the Human Rights of consumers in the program. 

Schedule: Part-Time 16 hours, Mother's Hours Friendly! 

Pay Rate: $20.60/hourly

Location: Norwood, MA with available Remote work

Required Skills

  • Successful candidates must be highly organized, detail oriented, reliable, responsible and friendly
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills required
  • Minimum of three years proven experience using Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Access preferred
  • Previous experience in a mental health or social services setting is preferred, but not required
  • Valid Driver's License and dependable vehicle required

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years administrative experience required
