PFLC, LLC, which is owned by Pohlad Companies, was recently founded to build a large Little Caesars franchisee via both acquisition of existing locations and construction of new locations. PFLC expects to close its first acquisition in December 2024 and plans to grow to nearly 200 locations over the next five years.
Position Purpose
The position provides support for all aspects of PFLC's accounting and reporting including sales tax filings. The position initially reports to the CEO. As PFLC grows, a Controller will be hired and the position will report to the Controller.
Key Accountabilities
Accounting
* Processing invoices, preparing journal entries, and performing bank deposit reconciliations
* Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
* Assist and review with cash management activities including liquidity projections, monitoring cash balances, managing bill payments, and coordinating ACH and wire transfers with financial institutions
* Prepare and contribute to creation of monthly and quarterly stakeholder reporting packages and ad-hoc reports, as needed
* Assist with preparation of annual budgets
* Interface with service providers on day-to-day transactions, including financial management, banking and lending, employee benefits and payroll, among others
Tax
* Prepare and file monthly sales and hospitality tax returns
* Assist with preparation of PFLC's annual K-1
Supervisory Responsibilities
Liaise and develop strong working relationships with other members of the PFLC, LLC and Pohlad Companies teams as well as vendors
Education and Experience
* Four-year accounting degree required. CPA certification a plus.
* Minimum of four year's related work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Flexible and team orientated and a contributor to an enjoyable, fun workplace
* Possess a strong aptitude and desire to learn
* Good communication skills with all levels of the organization
* Strong attention to detail
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks
* Ability/desire to learn new software packages and adjust to changing technology
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The Company offers a 3-2 hybrid work schedule. The option for hybrid is subject to business needs and may be changed at any time at the discretion of the Company.
Physical Demands (with or without reasonable accommodations)
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be prone to sitting for lengthy periods of time. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, or sit. Use of hands and fingers are required to operate a computer, telephone, and copy/fax machine. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Lifting requirements may be required to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
The role may require travel within the United States up to 5% of workdays.
Education and Experience
